Drupal RSS Feeds you Must Subscribe to

Did I already mention that Drupal is a really cool CMS or should I call it Web application framework? One of the features that sets Drupal apart from many other open source projects is its taxonomy system. With Drupal you can easily categorize content using vocabularies and terms.

For SEO Expert Blog I have set up one free tagging vocabulary called keywords. Each time I write a new post I can enter tags that will be added to the vocabulary if they do not yet exist. These tags are displayed as links in each post. They link to a teaser list of posts tagged with this term. A great way to set up relations between your posts.

But that is not enough. Each tag has its own RSS feed. So for example you could subscribe to the main RSS feed of SEO Expert Blog with all posts published here. If you are only interested in posts related to Drupal and don't want to read all that other crap you could subscribe to the Drupal feed on SEO Expert Blog.

Okay now it's time to justify the title of this post. Here is the list of Drupal RSS feeds you must subscribe to.

Drupal.org Feeds

  • Main feed Stay informed about important Drupal news, security releases and new Drupal versions.
  • New Modules Drupal is growing and so is the list of contributed modules that extend Drupal's functionality. This feed informs you about new modules, not about new versions of existing modules.
  • New Themes When you compare the number of modules with the number of themes you can guess that Drupal attracts more developers than designers. Still it is worth to subscribe to this feed.
  • Paid Drupal services You want to earn money with Drupal? Then this is the right place.
  • groups.drupal.org There are many people who develop for Drupal, work with Drupal, use Drupal or do whatever you can do with Drupal. groups.drupal.org is the place for special interest groups to organize, plan and work on Drupal related projects.
  • Search Engine Optimization Group As the name suggests, this Drupal group is dedicated to Search Engine Optimization.
  • Drupal Dojo Learn how to write your own modules and themes, maintain your own Drupal distribution and run killer Drupal-based websites.

Drupal Developers

  • Dries Buytaert Dries is the inventor of Drupal. He'll tell you about websites using Drupal, whether you kick Drupal's ass and whatever he wants to blog about.
  • Lullabot - articles, podcast Lullabot is a group of Drupal experts who write books and articles, publish videos, and podcasts about Drupal. They created websites for MTV UK, Sony Records, Ringo Starr, and many more. Lullabot does not only offer professional Drupal services but they give back a lot to the community by contributing modules, themes and knowledge.
  • 2BITS.com 2BITS offers Drupal development and consulting services, they contribute Drupal modules and write informative articles about topics such as performance tuning and optimization.
  • Nick Lewis: The Blog This is one of my favorites because I have found many solutions to problems that caused serious headaches for me.
  • Jose A. Reyero Jose is the developer of the internationalization (i18n) module that allows for running multi-lingual Drupal sites. Should come as no surprise that he blogs in Spanish and English.
  • walkah's blog I don't know him personally but I think he is a rocker and his articles rock too.
  • Angry Donuts One of the best domain names you can imagine and truly valuably recipes for cooking delicious meals with Drupal.

Is that all?

No. There ary many more people who are part of the Drupal community and who write interesting stuff about Drupal and anything else. Here I listed the resources I find particularly useful and want to recommend to my readers. If you want more subscribe to Planet Drupal.

Thanks so much for this useful collection of Drupal related sites and RSS feeds.
