Ixquick Promises Anonymity for Users

The Ixquick meta search engine, which aggregates it's search data from 12 engines, including Google, Yahoo!, AOL and MSN, guarantees not to keep any personal data it gathers from searches. The company logs some search details to allow for tracing sources of attacks but promises to delete all identifiable information within 48 hours.

Alex van Eesteren, a spokesman for the search engine, said When you search using Ixquick, your user information is not retained. We don’t keep any IP addresses and the cookies we use do not have a unique identity.
