We have already noticed some of the consequences of YouTube's takeover by Google, e.g. more and more videos getting deleted due to copyright issues.

But how will this deal affect the user interface of YouTube? Watch this video for a possible future scenario, provided there is a future for YouTube.

Since the announcement of the GooTube Deal early this month more and more copyright owners claim their share of the video sharing platform YouTube. Now also German tv stations consider suing YouTube for copyright violations.

Especially pay tv stations that invested millions for the rights to broadcast football matches are keen on initiating legal action against YouTube unless they find a way of participating in the revenues generated on YouTube.

One exception is the public tv station ZDF. They recognized the potential of attracting a younger audience for their program by making videos available on their website. And they seem consider cooperating with websites such as YouTube.
