Google Chrome One Box for Google

Windows XP and Vista users can now download and install Google's new Web browser called Chrome. No need to say that Chrome is free, i.e. you do not pay any money for it. The only thing you give Google is data on your browsing history. That shouldn't be a problem, if you already use Google Toolbar or Google Desktop.

One thing that sounds good is that Chrome is said to be open source. What is actually open source is the Chromium project behind Google Chrome, whatever this means.

It will be interesting to see how Google increases its market share in Web browsers, how their services will make use of this new data source, and whether Web developers will have to bother with one more client that interprets HTML, JavaScript, and CSS unlike any other. Happy browsing!

It looks good, but what was wrong with the old one, is this necessary of is it just change for changes sake? Surely Google could just have added new features? Maureen
