Hi there, I am looking to work with a developer on an exciting project that we have in the pipeline. I have some php experience and do work as a developer (iphone and flash) but feel that a full time experienced dev would be best to work on the core setup, custom coding etc. We could then deal with design and tailoring using admin section etc. The website will be a market place / booking system for performers and related event services. We will need a way for customer to create an 'event' and short list various performers and services. Service providers will need to be able to create 'services' that customers can add to their event which initially will be simple services but we would like to build a platform that allows us to make the services more and more intelligent and customisable as we grow. I have an existing D6 site that provides social and mental health resources to Asian and Pacific Islander immigrants in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'd like to add multi-lingual capabilities to it so that the users can read the site in their own language. This is less about translating the Drupal parts of the site (admin stuff, "Save" buttons, etc) and more about creating translations of the content itself. We have translators to create the translated content. The languages we will translate into are: Chinese Vietnamese Thai Tibetan Mongolian Burmese Tongan Cambodian Lao Tagalog Korean Obviously these are using a non-western alphabet (something which I have NO experience with) and many do not have localization files (or even Google translations) available. This is not an area I have worked in before with so I am looking for someone who is really familiar with working with non-Western alphabets and ways to create multiple versions of content on a D6 site. Ideally the UI for creating translations would also be easy to use, because the translators are not necessarily good with computers. Hi All I have 2 Drupal sites which I need help with and I'm looking for cost estimates and completion of work timeframes. One site needs the Image Gallery configuring to work correctly. At the moment when you click on the thumbnail, lightbox2 shows the broken image jpg and not the large version of the thumbnail. I also want to be able to add text links to external sites from the main image somehow. The other site is a clone of the site above and has Ubercart installed, when I try to add a product I get some error code. I need Ubercart to be configured to handle downloadable products, including creating the email notifications to the client with the link to the download and security password so they can download their purchase on receipt of payment. Product page will have to be able to show product images. Looking for a Drupal/PHP coder, preferably with views integration, taxonomy and search experience, for an urgent job where another developer has let us down. The job is a directory site with proximity filtering provided by a custom geo-spatially aware module (already built) which is essentially the 'location' module stripped down and made to save a mysql POINT(x,y) (based on the latitude and longitude of the 'location') in a 'geometry' column. The initial idea was to do the proximity searching without using views since there's currently no views integration for the mysql spatial proximity filter functions, but that scared our developer off so that's why we've asked for someone with experience in that area. If you'd like to bid just for the job of integrating the custom location module with views, that's a possibility, so please contact me. Other important aspects of the site are taxonomy (hierarchial) and search (flexible). To be clear, we're not looking for a module installer. This will definitely require some custom work. I'd like to see SEVERAL examples of Drupal and Non-Drupal work, meaning ACTUAL code. Hello All, I have two websites running on Drupal one is geared towards services and the other is geared towards products. My original plan was to hire someone to complete the update/walk me through it because this is my first update and I wanted someone with experience in the event that something bad happened. Issue One Background Info: I tried to update the service site to 6.16. I received several error messages when trying to uncheck modules before running the database update. I ran the update the first time and I was finally able to login to my site using the www.user?P, but couldn't perform any admin functions. Everytime I clicked on something I would get a picture of a camera with a circle around it and a slash through it. So I uploaded my back ups and the site worked normally. I tried to perform the update again via fantastico with my webhost. This time I couldn't login to the site at all. I restored my backups, but the site's theme disappeared. So I asked my hosting company could they restore the site since my backup upload wasn't working properly. read more
